University of Illinois (UI)
Project or Department: UI India Team - Internet Strategies for Indian Agriculture
The University of Illinois was a pioneer in computer-assisted instruction and now applies ICTs broadly on its campuses and beyond. ICT applications in agriculture use GIS data and web-based instructional programs, including Cyberfarm, the first agricultural portal. UI's international experience is particularly strong in Indian agriculture.
