International Educational and Resource Network (iEARN)
International Educational and Resource Network (iEARN) is a non-profit (501-c-3) organization. Established in 1988, iEARN is a network of educators and students in 15,000 schools from over 100 countries working together through collaborative education projects. The iEARN portal provides access to project based education tools and teaching methodologies that enable participation in a range of project based learning programs which enhance and promote English language training, IT and communication skills, awareness of global issues, and civic responsibility.
To support our programs iEARN provides professional development for teachers and educators through face-to-face and train-the-trainer workshops, and through online courses that empower teachers and young people to work together on structured educational projects online.
Most countries maitain their own iEARN Coordinator and teacher support structures to help educators integrate technology and project based learning methodologies in the classroom. In some countries iEARN programs are maintained within the Ministry of Education. In other countries it is a separate non-profit organization with close ties to education and youth-service institutions.
