The Howard University College of Medicine emphasizes ICT use in underserved areas. Its Emergency Medicine Internet Teaching Tool, a Web-based collaboration with physicians in rural South Africa provides medical training and decision-support for trauma and emergency care, soon to network rural hospitals throughout the Eastern Cape.
