Ghana, Quality Improvement in Primary Schools (USAID), 1997-2004

Teachers, head teachers, parents and pupils are active participants in the creation of their schools as places of growth and learning, a recent external evaluation of the project's achievements reported. In project schools, discipline on the part of teachers, pupils and parents has improved. While teachers are more professional, pupil interest in education has been aroused so much that parents no longer have to wake their children up to prepare for school. Children remind their parents about their educational responsibilities! |
