The University of North Carolina's Kenan Institute in Washington designs and implements projects linking international business and international development. Kenan works with USAID's web-based Global Technology Network to test whether principles of e-commerce can be applied in the developing world. GTN matches foreign companies with U.S. firms equipped to provide appropriate technological solutions to development problems.
