International Development Professionals (IDP) specializes in applying the Internet to economic and social development. IDP carried out a study for USAID's Center for Economic Growth on how the Internet can strengthen economic-policy programs - the three-volume, ten-month study shows how the Internet can improve policies related to trade and investment, business environments, and privatization of infrastructure.
