Full Description: dot-GOV worked with a Senior Venture Capitalist on a two-phase program for Filipino IT Senior Executives on how to develop international business plans. The first phase was carried out in Manila, where 75 participants were trained on how to forge relationships with US companies during a two-day seminar. As a follow up, 7 senior executives were chosen from a pool of approximately 30 Filipino IT companies, based on their companiesÂ’ strength in doing business with the U.S., to travel on a business linkages tour in Washington, DC. During the tour, the companies were trained in areas of business development before introducing them to U.S. companies. Each delegate was assisted in the follow-up activities with the companies they met with during the trip. As an additional result of the program, the Senior Venture Capitalist prepared a guidebook for developing business plans, marketing plans and raising venture capital for Filipino Information Technology companies.
