Full Description: dot-EDU is introducing the I*EARN network of community learners to students across Lebanon to increase their access to information about the environment. The YouthCaN Med Institute will link students from the US with students from the Middle East in cross-comparative studies, environmental research, discussions and global hikes, which will foster long-term cross-cultural relationships amongst teachers and students in the Middle East and the US. Specific measures will be taken throughout the project to ensure that both genders participate actively in all activities. Update: This activity was completed January 2004.
