Full Description: dot-GOV sent two senior level experts to carry out a countrywide ICT sector overview and an analysis of constraints and opportunities as well as to provide recommendations on further interventions to promote ICT growth in Laos. The results of their report emphasized compelling needs such as viable ICT related institutions; implementation the existing laws regarding ICT regulation; extension of ICTs beyond the capital; and upgraded wireless intranet for the various Government agencies and departments. The assessment team drafted a report summarizing its findings and recommendations as well as provided summary meetings to interested participants so that a follow-up plan of action can be developed.
