Image of a CRT Monitor vs an LCD Monitor

Do you know the difference between a CRT and a LCD monitor in terms of power consumption? Do you know what type of printer is more energy-efficient?

In the average desktop computer system, 60% of the energy consumption is due to the cathode ray tube (CRT) monitor.

Liquid crystal display (LCD) monitors, either built into notebooks or as standalone, flat monitors connected to desktops, typically consume one third to one half of a comparably-sized CRT monitor.
